Unveiling the Idol of Pets: A Warning from the Lord
Are We Worshiping Our Animals More Than God?**
In today's society, pets have become more than just companions; they have become idols in our lives. The Lord has been speaking to many about the dangers of idolizing our pets, and it's time to heed His warning.
In a revelation received by my husband, he was reminded of mankind's original dominion over animals, which has now been reversed due to the Fall of Man. Instead of us having dominion over animals, they now have dominion over us, leading us into bondage.
Romans 1:22-23 warns us against exchanging the glory of God for images of birds, animals, and reptiles. When our love and devotion are focused solely on our pets, we are guilty of idolatry. The Lord desires our complete love and devotion.
The pet industry has grown into a multi-billion-dollar business, with people spending more on their pets than on furthering the Kingdom of God. It's time to evaluate our priorities and ensure that our worship is directed toward God alone.
Moreover, the rise of "fur-babies" and "emotional support animals" indicates a dangerous trend of emotional dependence on pets rather than on God, who is our ultimate Comforter.
Behind every idol is an evil spirit seeking our worship. When we idolize our pets, we open ourselves up to spiritual bondage and manipulation by these evil spirits.
There's a spiritual progression that occurs when we idolize our pets. It starts with worship and adoration, leading to identification with animals, possession by evil spirits, and ultimately, spiritual transformation into animals.
In these End Times, as wickedness accelerates, we must flee from idolatry for our own safety. We can't afford to be entangled with darkness in any form.
Scripture References:
Romans 1:22-23: "While they were claiming to be wise, they made fools of themselves. They exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images that look like mortal humans: birds, animals, and reptiles."
1 Corinthians 10:13: "Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry."
Let's repent of idolizing our pets and surrender our hearts fully to God. Only then can we fulfill our destinies in the Kingdom of God.
Prayer:
Lord Father,
I repent for idolizing my pet. I lay it upon Your altar. Lord, please set me free from this idolatry. I surrender my heart fully to You. I want to make sure that I fulfill my destiny in the Kingdom of God.
Amen

true.....but once you have a pet, it is really important to take care of ot and pay all necessary vet care etc. and it definitely can be a lot of care + emotional attention so that the pet would not suffer loneliness. Maybe Christians should not keep pets ( Izraelites did not have them but Egyptians worshipped cats for example).
