From Shy Student to Strong Believer: My Journey with Bipolar2 and Faith
Transforming Adversity into Faith: Navigating Bipolar2 with Resilience
As I look back on my life, I can't help but marvel at the incredible journey that has brought me to where I am today. I was once a shy and reserved child, a studious introvert who found solace in the pages of books. You could often find me hidden away in my room, lost in the world of non-fiction and biographies. My quiet demeanor defined me until the day I entered college, where I was challenged to step out of my comfort zone.
My first taste of breaking out of my shell came when I took on a role as a perfume salesman in a bustling mall in Kuala Lumpur. I had to muster up the courage to engage with customers and meet targets. It was in this performance-driven environment that I discovered my motivation – hitting targets and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
But my transformation didn't stop there. In my early twenties, I experienced a profound change when I became a Christian. This newfound faith also brought with it an official diagnosis of Bipolar2, a condition characterized by alternating high moods and extreme lows. While I embraced the energetic and positive aspects of my high moods, I also faced the challenges of navigating the depths of depression during my extreme lows.
During these dark times, my faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, became my refuge. I clung to the promises in the Bible, especially Matthew 28:20, which reminds me that I am never alone when I am with Jesus. His constant presence sustains me, even in the darkest moments.

In my moments of despair, I found comfort in the book of Lamentations, which speaks of God's mercies being new every morning.
