Jehovah's Witnesses have established a significant global presence, with over 8.6 million members spread across 239 countries. Their origins trace back to the 19th century Adventist movement, particularly following William Miller's failed predictions about the end of the world. After Miller's movement fractured, Charles Taze Russell founded the International Bible Students Association in 1872, which eventually evolved into the religious group now known as Jehovah's Witnesses.
